Photographing an Unopened Collectible

A useful photo set is evidence, not glamour photography.

Photographing an Unopened Collectible

NeverOpened treats packaging as evidence. The goal is to preserve information before making an irreversible change.

Start with all six sides

Capture a full orientation set before close-ups so later details have context.

Shoot seams and corners

Macro photos should show where wrap folds, tape begins/ends, labels lift and cardboard fibers break.

Include scale

A small ruler or evidence scale makes dents, tears and sticker size easier to understand.

Keep originals

Do not destroy metadata or overwrite your best source files with edited marketplace crops.

For high-value material, category-specific references and qualified specialists matter more than generic internet checklists.
